AVAILABILITY
GSR's are available as funds become available, but usually no more than one or two per year.

ELIGIBILITY
Only students enrolled or who are in the process of enrolling in a full-time graduate program will be considered for GSR appointments in the Center for Injury Research & Control.

EFFORT
Full-time GSRs are expected to devote twenty (20) hours per week to the research project from which they receive remuneration. Time expenditure of part-time GSRs is proportional to this standard.

APPOINTMENTS
GSR appointments range from one to no more than three terms at a time (one academic year). Renewals are subject to satisfactory job performance and availability of funding support.

STIPEND
The monthly stipend payment for a full-time GSR is currently $1,080.00. Monthly stipend payments for a part time GSR will be proportional to this standard.

TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS
Full-time GSRs are eligible to receive full tuition scholarships to cover up to 15 credits. Part-time GSRs are eligible to receive partial tuition scholarships in accord with their appointments.

Tuition scholarships will be renewed each term subject to satisfactory academic performance.

HEALTH INSURANCE
GSRs will be provided individual coverage under the Blue Cross/Blue Shield/Major Medical graduate student plan. Family coverage is available at an additional cost to the student.
